For three consecutive summers, François Cavelier spent his days on the beaches of the resort town of Lacanau. An area that - at least in Caveliers eyes - holds no place for the aged.
Over the course of his stay on the Bordeaux coast, Cavelier produced a series of sun soaked, black and white photographs of the sprightly sunbathers, surfers and holiday makers, that exude a sense of purity and calm that makes one yearn for the idle summers of youth, or perhaps at least some kind of respite from the dreary drudgery of urban life in January.
A book of the series, was published last month by Cavelier's imprint BRUNE EDITIONS. Click HERE for more info.
